Africa Consultant - Call for Expressions of Interest

The Mental Disability Advocacy Centre (MDAC) is an international human rights organisation that uses the law to advance the rights of people with mental disabilities worldwide.

MDAC is searching for a highly motivated and experienced lawyer to coordinate our work in Africa, in particular through innovative legal approaches to tackling human rights violations against people with mental disabilities. The consultancy is envisaged to take place between February and July 2016, with the possibility of extension.

The Consultant will be an organised, creative and independent person with the ability to develop relationships quickly, possess excellent legal and analytical skills, and hold considerable knowledge and understanding of disability rights in Africa.

Ideally, the Consultant will be based in Kenya, Uganda or Zambia, or alternatively in Budapest or the UK.
