Dear Colleagues,
We are very pleased to announce that the World Bank is partnering with the IMF to launch the first external Anti-Corruption Innovation Challenge . The challenge is seeking collaborative solutions from our membership, partners, and staff for ways to improve governance and tackle corruption.
It is open for participation to country authorities, civil society organizations, and staff from the World Bank, the IMF, and other international and regional financial institutions . The challenge is being sponsored by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs and run in partnership with IBM Research .
We are looking for submissions on the following topics:
Enhancing Governance in Public Finance: The Role of Data and Technology
(relevant for fiscal institutions)
Promoting Good Governance in Central Banks: The Role of Non-Executive Directors
(relevant for central banks)
Tackling Corruption: Financial Disclosure Systems for Public Officials
(relevant for anti-corruption institutions and other government agencies involved in the fight against corruption and money laundering)
Fighting Money Laundering: The Use of Data for Financial Intelligence
(relevant for financial intelligence units)
Improving the Understanding of the Risks of Corruption
(relevant for anti-corruption authorities)
Other Solutions Including Use of Open or Big Data for Enhancing Governance and Fighting Corruption
(relevant for all)
We would like to encourage you to participate in the challenge and to disseminate this important initiative among the relevant authorities and partners, asking them to submit their ideas by December 6.
