We’re excited to announce that the Grassroots Justice Prize is back!

“This award put our work on the world stage. For a small NGO, the prize money was crucial to expand our team and scale our legal empowerment efforts in India,” writes Jayshree Satpute, co-founder of Nazdeek, the inaugural Grassroots Justice Prize winner.

“It can be a lonely battle – it’s you against a very unresponsive world, and all of a sudden you discover that somebody else out there has recognized what you are doing. It gives a boost, it gives you greater power to continue doing what you are doing,” writes Eliahu Abram, board member of Kav LaOved, a 2017 Grassroots Justice Prize winner.

This year’s Grassroots Justice Prize will honor the work of non-profits, social enterprises, and public institutions who have demonstrated remarkable innovation, impact, and sustainability in their work. A panel of judges will select the winners of the $10,000 prize, while a public vote will be held for a smaller prize.

The deadline for applications is Friday, March 8. Nominations must be received by Friday, February 22.
