Call for Application! Regional Online Course on Public Interest Lawyering 2022

Dear Friends,

Greetings from PILnet!

It is our pleasure to share with you the Call for Applications for the 2022 Regional Online Course on Public Interest Lawyering.

The course, developed by PILnet in collaboration with the Leitner Center, is designed for lawyers and representatives of NGOs in the Asia region. Through this course, we aim to create a channel for 50 young public interest-minded lawyers to gain experience and an international perspective at the outset of their career, and to build a network among PILnet and Leitner’s international fellows, Asia regional fellows, and online course participants.

The five weeks online course consists of five interactive and interconnected sessions, which include portions of self-paced learning and live webinars/discussions. The course participants can access theory video presentations, resources, quizzes and live discussions with expert speakers, including case simulations and practical exercises. The course also encourages regional cooperation and the development of creative ways to use the law for the public interest.

The call for applications and the selection process will seek to secure a commitment by the participants to actively engage in interactive participation in the course.
