Environmental conservation and livelihood

Am privileged members to share with you my project implementation experience in the area of environment. Grants for environmental conservation to have community impact must put in consideration community livelihood. The environment has been degraded in search for better living, and can be translated into low environment project impact on communities. It would even create more impact if community livelihoods come before environmental conservation because sustainable living will force this community to care for the environment automatically. For example, a good household will always need trees for shade during leisure time outside the house which now will bring the element of sustainable environment.

In regard to legal compliance to environmental justice, most laws on environment are not visible in communities. It would be imperative for any grants to be directed towards explaining these laws for community to have a sustainable environmental conservation plan. This is an advocacy issue and lobbying for all stakeholders in the environment sector.
