Global Forest Watch Small Grants Fund - deadline April 15 2017

The Global Forest Watch (GFW) Small Grants Fund is seeking applicants to use GFW’s near real-time data in efforts to combat illegal or unwanted deforestation through enforcement and advocacy. The Small Grants Fund aims to promote impact, uptake and innovative use of GFW – an online platform for monitoring forests – by civil society.

The Small Grants Fund is now accepting applications for the 2017 cycle. Non-governmental organizations from the following countries are eligible: South America: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela. Central Africa: Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. Southeast Asia: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste.

Winning proposals will receive $10,000 - 40,000 USD and technical assistance for initiatives that turn GFW’s information into action.
