Building from the experience of the Legal Empowerment Leadership Course, Namati is launching a global corps focused on legal empowerment as a pathway to land and environmental justice. Over the next five years, we’ll bring together a cohort of visionary leaders from across the globe for intensive coursework and peer learning. Corps members will strengthen legal empowerment efforts at home based on what they learn through the program, generate learning, and amplify their collective voices to engage in regional and global advocacy. Our goal is an inspired, evidence-based, bottom-up, unstoppable global movement for land and environmental justice.

Program Director/Senior Manager

The Program Director/Senior Manager will bring together the first cohort. They will be responsible for building deep relationships with member organizations, leading the development of the curriculum for the corps, continually assessing the program, and working with other team members to secure investors and funding partners. We’re looking for someone that is a gifted organizer and teacher, with roots in struggles for environmental justice. The right candidate for this position has a strong background in land and environmental justice at the grassroots level, and has also demonstrated an interest in learning how organizations can be more impactful in their work. Program Officer

The Program Officer will support team and cohort members in conducting research, developing curriculum, and identifying potential investors and partners. We’re looking for someone who is organized, a relentless problem-solver, and passionate about nurturing a new global environmental justice movement to be effective and responsive to our communities. The right candidate for this role will have a stellar track record of research, writing, and analysis, with particular clarity when it comes to communications. You can see the full posting here.
