Hello all,
I hope you’re well!
Sharing with you a welcome development: the UN’s Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (CESR) issued General Comment No. 26 last year, a guidance for UN Member States on land and economic, social and cultural rights.
The General Comment reflects progressive and strong provisions on land rights, non-discrimination (women, IPs, and local communities), and HRDs. This is a good reference document to bolster arguments in relation to the importance of land and its inextricable link to economic, social and cultural rights.
Hope you find this useful to the work that you do,
Dominique
