We want to share with you a series of online training provided by Social Movement Technologies (SMT) for Asia-based activists and campaigners. The first training is held on February 15th for free, which will cover an overview of top tools and tactics to build people’s power in the digital age. The registration for February is HERE and available in English and Bahasa Indonesian.
Following that, they will have a series of 4 trainings from March to April, covering topics on the Activists pipeline, Action Network as a tool, Digital Security under Authoritarian regimes, and WhatsApp. The Legal Empowerment Network has joined SMT as an outreach partner and has the opportunity to invite network members to join this training series for free. You can find the details of each session from this link: https://socialmovementtechnologies.org/2023-trainings-for-campaigners-activists-in-asia/. This is going to be an exciting opportunity to learn more about advocacy and digital tools.
We are interested in participating in this much-needed theme in today’s context of shrinking civic space in Asia. Can we register as an organization and send relevant staff members accordingly within each topic?
Many thanks for considering my request.
Regards,
Wahyubinatara Fernandez
Executive Director

Hi @WahyuFernandez thank you for the question, we are happy to know your team is interested in this training. As this is a zoom registration, all interested participants will eventually have to sign up individually to get the zoom link, but let me reach out to SMT team to see if they can approve registration with organization’s name.
Hi @LiaMaiTorres yes please feel free to share with your network and colleagues. We are happy to see interest from you side. Your network will have to follow the same registration instruction copied below to get free access approval:
