As part of the “UNHCR-NGO RSD Retreat,” this interactive series will highlight recent innovations and creative solutions that actors around the world are taking up to support the legal recognition of refugees in their contexts — especially in light of COVID-19 and several emerging global processes. The strategies discussed will include community engagement, legal representation, and methods of supporting the overall functioning of UNHCR RSD and state asylum systems.
As an important backdrop for all discussions, this series will also highlight (and identify ways to better support) the crucial leadership roles refugees are playing to increase the legal recognition of refugees.
