Wetlands Environmental Empowerment in Equatorial River Nile Basin

NET Africa is currently developing a wetlands project in partnership with the Nile Basin to empower local people and key stakeholders in the environmental management of Sio-Siteko Wetland. This is a step forward for environmental justice and putting power in the hands of local people.

Yes, you can access the global wetlands forum to lean about our work and contribute your approaches, ideas and views about managing wetlands to improve the environmental management of all.

This is a new initiative, and as it develops we will update all the members. We believe it is a step in the right direction for environmental justice, not only for people but also for wildlife and nature.

Main objective is to Increase community capacities and awareness about sustainable wetland management, in the following ways:-

Output 1.1: Establish committee

Output 1.2: Stakeholder workshop

Output 1.3: Training on citizens’ science using mobile technology

Output 1.4: Facilitate sustainable management of wetland
