Realizing water is life, and recognizing the ever increasing water gaps in poor communities in Nigeria, to the role of drinkable water in nexus to family health, I and my team as voluntary social development team interested, and is carrying out independent Impact Assessment of Handpump Boreholes project implemented by UNICEF/UKAID in Kaduna state, Nigeria.
Our assessment will be on three selected communities of Nasarawa, Trikania and Kakuri. We want to know if the project is filling real water needs of women and girls in those communities. We want to know the disconnect and connects of the project to WASH and how the project is relevant to handwashing and health in post Covid19 era.
Result of the study will be shared with relevant stakeholders so lessons could be learnt.
We are looking for partners that we can partner with in carrying out this first of its kind localized independent impact assessment in Nigeria.
