Hoan holds a bachelor’s degree in Infrastructure Engineering and Rural Development from the Water Resources University in Vietnam. In 2016, he started his career as a Project Coordinator at GreenID, an NGO promoting sustainable energy development in Vietnam and the larger Mekong region. He attended the EarthRights School in 2017 to pursue his interests in human rights and environmental issues. He has been expanding his knowledge in energy and air quality governance, campaign planning against unsustainable large-scale economic development projects, and advocacy for more equitable development. Additionally, he has been involved with community mobilization, field research, capacity building, as well as planning and implementing community-based projects.
