ND Goon Nan has eight years of experience working with international NGOs in Myanmar. He served as a community facilitator for emergency response and sustainable community development in disaster affected and armed conflict areas with World Concern Myanmar and UN World Food Program, liaising with a variety of local authorities and partner organizations. He worked as a Community Development Officer and Team Leader in Good Neighbors International for community development and child protection program in urban areas. He worked in World Vision Myanmar for child soldier project cooperating with UNICEF, international NGOs, local NGOs and government departments. He also was a church youth leader for youth social service programs and library development, and a volunteer for an orphanage prior to his career with NGOs.
Goon Nan earned his master degree in Development Management and Governance at University of the Philippines, Los Banos with a scholarship awarded by Supplementary Grant Program Asia, Open Society Organization. He holds BA in Law from Mandalay Yadanar Bone University, Myanmar.
