Rémy is EarthRight International’s Mekong Legal Director. He leads and manages ERI’s legal program across the Mekong sub-region, as well as coordinating the Mekong Legal Advocacy Institute and Mekong Legal Network. He is an international environmental law, policy and governance specialist with professional experience spanning law firms, NGOs, the UN, academia and consulting. Prior to joining ERI, Rémy also spent years coordinating humanitarian and development programmes across South-East Asia for Oxfam. A passionate advocate for using the law to protect and preserve natural environments for the communities who rely upon them, this underpins his commitment to co-powering with local people working at the intersection of legal, environmental and social issues. Rémy holds undergraduate Law, Science (Hons) and French (language) degrees from Monash University, Australia and a Master of Laws (Marine & Environmental) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He speaks English and French.
