Adv. Barnabas is a Human Rights Lawyer with experience in women’s rights, children’s rights, and advocacy on women rights for about six years. To date, he works as Coordinator of Paralegal Program at Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA). He has also worked at various capacities such as a legal aid provider, trainer on women rights, program officer under women Land Rights program and monitoring and evaluation personnel. Before joined TAWLA, Barnabas worked as a Legal Officer and Secretary to the University of Dar es Salaam, Legal Aid Committee (University based legal aid clinic) for about four years. He also worked for the African Legal Aid, an international organization based in The Hague for three months as an intern.

Mr. Barnabas is managing various network and partnerships with local and international organizations to promote women rights in Tanzania including Mama Ardhi Coalition and Tanzania Ending Child Marriage Network.
