Ms. Harusi Miraji Mpatani is the Executive Director of the Centre. She holds a graduate certificate of international law from the Coventry University in the United Kingdom (LLM) and LLB at Zanzibar University in Zanzibar. Ms. Mpatani is an Advocate of the High Court of Zanzibar; a member of Zanzibar Law Society; and East African Law Society.

She is also active in civil society in the region and served as the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, the Tanzania Human Rights Defenders; and Focal Person of the Child Protection Desk Supported by Save the Children Fund and a council member of the Zanzibar Law Society.

Ms. Mpatani has also been very active in support of preparation and publication the Annual Human Rights Report and Zanzibar Yearbook of Law which are all published under the auspices of the Centre.
