Aisha is vastly experienced in implementing, managing and monitoring gender based communications, advocacy, products, services, tools and partnerships. I am able to increase capacity to communicate effectively at sub-regional and country levels and helping strengthen Gender development positioning among key partners and external audiences. With my experience I am highly capable of devising advocacy priorities and strategies, identifying advocacy opportunities, and undertaking lobbying and advocacy directed at influencing governments, intergovernmental organizations, human rights bodies and experts. I have excelled in coordinating and providing training and other capacity building activities to implement interventions to promote women’s empowerment in economic practices including interventions that increase women’s access to productive resources and optimize their participation and benefits from various economic projects.And also awareness creation on girl child rights, addressing issues of accessing basic rights and protection from retrogressive cultural practices among the Somali pastoralist communities from Norhern Kenya.

Aisha has a BA in Political Science, Sociology and psychology from the University of Nairobi. A Diploma in Criminology and Social Order from the same University .
