Deyla has spent her career helping social justice organizations achieve greater impact by building effective, values and equity-driven internal operations. As Senior Operations Manager at Namati, Deyla partners with Jay Monteverde – Director of the US Environmental Justice (EJ) Program – to oversee all operational aspects of the program.

Though a new face on the US EJ Program, Deyla is a longtime member of the Namati family. Prior to her current role, she helped build and scale the organization’s global presence from 2014-2020 as Operations and Systems Officer, and later, People and Culture Manager.

Deyla is an avid hiker and tap dancer from a small rural town in New Mexico, and is fiercely passionate about realizing environmental, racial, and economic justice across the US and abroad. She holds an MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Whittier College, and an active credential as a Society for Human Resources (SHRM) Certified Professional.
