Farida was born in Maxixe District in Inhambane Province, Mozambique. She studied Accelerated Accounting and Management at the Employment Training Institute and is currently enrolled in the Political History and Public Management program at the Pedagogical University, Inhambane Delegation. She previously worked as a peer educator at PROLIR, promoting leadership for girls, and as a research assistant on a CARE International study of living standards in Inhambane Province.
