Janemary is a human rights lawyer with over 14 years of experience in human rights protection and advocacy, governance, policy development and training. She is currently serving as the Executive Director of DIGNITY Kwanza, a Tanzanian NGO dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the human dignity of marginalized and vulnerable populations for the attainment of social and economic development through education, support and empowerment. Janemary also served as the Country Director of Asylum Access Tanzania, a national office of Asylum Access, a US-based international NGO with a mission to make refugee rights a reality. She also worked with UNHCR and with Iringa University. As a member of this network, Janemary hopes to learn from other network members and contribute to their knowledge by sharing experiences and best practices in legal empowerment and working together to find solutions to common challenges to strengthen our capacity to serve our communities effectively.
