Ms. Ramalo, Director for Social Protection at DHRRA Malaysia is the focal resource person for Government Agencies, UN Agencies, Media Agencies and other stakeholders in the issue of statelessness in Malaysia and has experience working with persons at risk of Statelessness and Lawyers who provide legal assistance. She is responsible in coordinating and implementing the mapping and registration project by community based paralegals. The project has a legal assistance component that aims to ensure the stateless and persons of undetermined nationality either acquire or are confirmed as citizens of Malaysia through paralegal assistance from DHRRA. Through this network, DHRRA hopes to further benefit from experiences of member organizations and countries on best practices in the field of statelessness and undocumented persons.
