Mr. Okereke Chukwunwike Chijioke is from Ajalli in Orumba-North Local Government Area of Anambra State of Nigeria. He is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu and the Nigeria Law School, Abuja.

He is the founder and the President/CEO of the African Law Foundation (AFRILAW). AFRILAW is law, justice and development organization headquartered in Enugu, Enugu State of Nigeria. He was previously the Programme Manager of the Nigeria Coalition on International Criminal Court (NCICC), the former Head of the Legal Department and Programme Officer (Legal) with the Civil Resource Development and Documentation Center (CIRDDOC Nigeria), Enugu, and formerly a Law Lecturer with the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi State, Nigeria.

Mr. Okereke Chukwunwike has many years of professional experiences in the areas of Law and Development, Environmental Justice and Rights, International Criminal Justice, Access to Justice and Legal Empowerment of the Poor, Business and Human Rights, Corporate Justice, Transparency and Accountability, Gender Justice and Women’s Human Rights, Child Rights Protection, Pre-Trial Justice and Justice Sector Reform, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Human Rights and Drug Policy, HIV and Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution.

He is a member of many professional associations, networks and alliances such as OECD Watch, International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR-Net), Nigeria CSOs Coalition on Business and Human Rights, African Coalition on Corporate Accountability (ACCA), Human Rights Agenda Network (HRAN), Nigeria Coalition on International Criminal Court (NCICC), South-East Governance Network (SEGON), Women Initiative on Affirmative Action (NCAA), Global Network for Public Interest Law (PiLNet), Transitional Monitoring Group(TMG), Global Alliance on Justice Education(GAJE), Nigeria Justice 2015 Campaign, Nigeria Bar Association(NBA) and Global Network on Legal Empowerment.
