Namati is looking for a brilliant writer and technical mind who is passionate about mobilizing the resources that make our work possible.
The Grants Specialist and Technical Writer will work closely with Namati’s Director of Development to grow the coalition of support for our work and that of the broader movement.
The position is a three month consultancy with the possibility of extension.
Over the three months of this consultancy, you will:

Work closely with our program teams to learn the strategy, vision, priorities, and impact of each practice area and key needs.

Generate and manage a list of 30-50 qualified fundraising “leads:” private and family foundations whose priorities are aligned with Namati’s work.

Narrow this list to 10-20 likely potential funders though thoughtful outreach and relationship cultivation.

Working with our teams, develop elegant, compelling concept notes, letters of inquiry, and proposals for potential funders and allies.

Maintain our database with current and relevant information about outreach to prospects, and the status of opportunities.
