Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR), and Bridges Across Borders South East Asia Community Legal Education Initiative (BABSEACLE) are hosting a workshop on Human Rights Topics in Asia!

Dear Human Rights Community,

With less than 2 months to go we want to remind you to register for the Workshop on Thematic Human Rights Topics from Around the Asia Region taking place on August 29th in Sanur, Bali. This Workshop is being co-organised by Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR),and Bridges Across Borders South East Asia Community Legal Education Initiative (BABSEACLE).

When: Monday August 29, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST

This Workshop will address current and pressing human rights issues and involve in depth discussions on steps to moving forward to improve the current human rights situation in the region. Topics to be addressed will include:

  • Transitional Justice
  • Gender Based Violence
  • Religious Tolerance
  • The Stolen Children

Each of the four areas to be covered in the workshop relates to one of AJAR’s core programs, focused on addressing mass human rights violations in contexts of transitions to democracy in the Asia Pacific region.

To attend the Human Rights Workshop their will be a registration fee of $100 USD. However, If you register for the 5th Asia Pro Bono Conference then you will be able o register for the Human Rights Workshop free of charge if you register before July 20th.

The Workshop is been done in complementary with the 5th Asia Pro Bono Conference which is being held side by side with the PILnet 3rd Asia Pro Bono Forum(August 29-30). Collectively the Conference and Forum is being referred to as the Asia Pro Bono Exchange (August 29 - September 1).
